Local 100 - Transalta Generation Partnership
and Transalta Corporation
Paul Drew-Brook has been a member of the Association since 1982
and became a Unit Coordinator in 1999. Paul says that it’s stunning
to look back and see the positive and productive changes that have
occurred since then, and remarks that those changes for the better
made the work all the more interesting.
Paul became a Director in 2004 and finds bargaining committees,
job evaluations, or just being able to help most fulfilling and
satisfying.
Darlene Cardinal has been a Unit Coordinator for Local 100,

ten-plus years. She started with TransAlta in July of 2000, and
works in the Sundance plant as administration support.
Darlene is very interested in the Labor movement in Alberta, and
enjoys the exposure being involved with the UUWA has given her.
She believes in fighting for what is right and fair for our members.
